After so many tragic and traumatic experiences at past Dental practices, I decided it was finally time to get out there and fix my teeth. I was searching when I came upon Premier Dentistry and Dr. Shim. Not only was it close to my job but the reviews were outstanding so I thought I'd give it a shot. Let me just say, the reviews are WELL DESERVED AND EARNED. The front office team was not only welcoming and warm, but they were quick and efficient having everything ready to go for me to sign and checked in so it gave me some time to relax which I appreciate. Some front office teams aren't AS efficient or patient with our questions so it was nice to finally see a team so willing to help. Not to mention the atmosphere in the front room was peaceful and comfortable. Then we get to Dr. Shim and the team in the back working on our teeth. I had two visits, one for general cleaning and one for extractions on 2 baby teeth and an adult tooth that was never going to get back in alignment. Both times were painless, quick, and welcoming, each time Dr. Shim himself and his team made sure I was okay, talking to me to get my mind off things and accomodating my requests to make sure I was truly okay. It was a marval. When they said "alright you're done", I was stunned, like nothing happened to my teeth at all. They were like a special ops team that went in to an operation and went out flawlessly, not one move wasted. They completely understood my anxiety and nervousness as well as accomodated my requests for pain management and answered all my questions. It may seem like it's something all places should do, but trust me, these other places don't. This team goes the extra mile. Basically, this is a complete team. I didn't notice anything lacking or bad here. Dr. Shim has something amazing going here, and I will DEFINITELY recommend this place to my friends and collegues. Dr. Shim is the man! I needed an emergency root canal and he got me in right away and took care of everything quickly and professionally. I was so at ease during the procedure I nearly fell asleep...TWICE! Huge relief! I highly recommend Dr. Shim and the ladies at Premier Dentistry for all your dental needs. (Dr. Shim - I totally went home and watched a few YouTube videos on root canals. 😆 Very interesting stuff.)

8/7/2025 Today was my first meeting with Dr Shim & his staff. The service I received from the staff was friendly. The environment is clean , comfortable & relaxed. From my impression of Dr Shim he seem very friendly, knowledgeable, strategic, he take his time to have a plan in details to work on my front teeth. Also, I will have him placed two implants in four months . I’m looking forward to have Dr Shim work on my teeth. 11/25 to 12/30/25 During these two months I had five appts with Dr Shim to make a set of the upper & lower implant crowns. His treatment plan is orderly and meticulous.He has a set of method procedure without being distracted. He take his time to make sure the look, fit, bites of the temporary crowns feel comfortable for me. Also, if he needed any changes . He wanted it to be perfect. He spent many hours & days tirelessly working on my teeth. It shows in his work ethic , enthusiasm & optimism these traits describe his character. It’s great to know he involved the lab tech name David assisting him with this process. It’s good to know I was able to wear the temporary crowns as a trial phase to see if I feel comfortable wearing it. I feel confident that Dr Shim will do his best to accommodate me . I had an exceptional experience at Premier Dentistry! Dr. Shim and office manager Erica Seifert lead an incredible team that truly sets the standard for dental care. I found Premier Dentistry in December 2023 after I started looking online for a dentist that would do quality work. I specifically looked for someone experienced with crowns. I found Premier Dentistry and I was able to schedule an appointment on their website which was very convenient. I had my crown replacement there, being the front tooth that needed the crown, a natural looking crown was something that I was looking for and that I now have(: I also got Invisalign treatment with them, and my teeth are more aligned after the treatment and I smile with more confidence😃 I’ve had two fillings and a couple of dental cleanings at PD already. I experience anxiety and the dentist chair is not my favorite place to be, but Dr. Shim and the Dental Assistants there have been very good at understanding that nervousness and they have done excepcional jobs. I’ve been treated by Maddy, Courtney, Renata, Chloe, and Aimee along side Dr.Shim and by Jody who is our dental hygienist.🙂 My son saw Jenny once for his dental cleaning and she also did a great job with his dental cleaning, explaining to him what areas he needed to focus on when brushing to have a better dental health. The girls at the front desk: Erica, Ashleigh, Christine, Sophie and Makaila greet us with smiles and are friendly, they are also great at helping us find appointments on our available days🙂 We have been greeted by Mr. Fritz🐶 and by Miso 🐕 They also like to go check on you while you are on the dentist chair☺️ I also brought my husband in to get treated by Dr. Shim and staff. We noticed that Dr. Shim likes to preserve natural teeth whenever it is possible and that he won’t recommend any unnecessary treatment just for his benefit $. Dr. Shim is very easy to talk to and actually smiles when he talks to you✨ He does quality work, he takes the time to hear your concerns and he treats his patients and staff with kindness and respect. I’m not a fan of going to the dentist, but this office is a great one! They’re super friendly and communicative, checking in often to see how you’re feeling. I left with my teeth feeling great and even a cute little welcome gift. They also have two TVs (front wall and ceiling) for your viewing distraction haha. I’ll definitely be back 🤗 …

I had a simple extraction done today, and it was the most stress-free, seamless experience I have ever had at the dentist. As a matter of fact, I have absolutely no memory whatsoever of any of it. I don't even remember getting out of the car or checking in. The sedation was perfect. I didn't even have to avail myself of IV sedation; half a milligram of triazolam worked perfectly. I went home afterwards and took a long nap and everything is going exceptionally well. As of right now there is no swelling, no bleeding, and absolutely no pain whatsoever. The only thing that concerns me is that the anterograde amnesia is so pronounced that I'm wondering if I was even able to follow simple instructions while I was in the chair. I guess I'll call tomorrow and find out. If I were compelled to grade these people on a scale from zero to ten I would have to give them a perfect ten. They answered all my preoperative questions promptly, patiently, and above all intelligently. We finalized the entire thing through SMS, and it was so refreshing to communicate with somebody who can explain something without it being riddled with grammatical and spelling errors. I think a person would be hard-pressed to find a better dental provider than these people.
